3B M1324 Trousers - Grey Regular Skinny Cold Dyed Stretch Cotton Corozo Button Italian Men's

Regular price €198.00 EUR

Grey That Was Never Printed On

Regular skinny trousers in cold-dyed stretch cotton, finished with an elasticated waist and a corozo button. The cold dyeing leaves the grey uneven and alive, deeper at the seams, softer across the thigh. Made in Italy by LA HAINE INSIDE US, avant-garde tailoring with a piece of unrepeatable colour in it.

Why These Trousers Are Different

  • Cold dyed — the colour settles unevenly by nature, so no two pairs come out identical. Unlike a flat commercial grey, this one has depth and movement.
  • 97% cotton with 3% elastane — a natural, breathable hand with genuine give. Where rigid skinny trousers restrict the knee, these move and recover.
  • Regular skinny cut — a close leg line that still sits comfortably at the hip, not a compression fit.
  • Elasticated waist — tailored appearance, comfortable reality, through long days and long sits.
  • Corozo button — vegetable ivory from the tagua palm nut, a renewable, biodegradable alternative to plastic that hardens to the density of stone.
  • Zip closure and functional pockets — real hardware, real pockets, nothing decorative.
  • Grey, no logos — pure silhouette and finish, nothing to date it.
  • Made in Italy — Italian construction and finishing throughout.

The Moment You Put It On

They pull up without a struggle and the waistband settles instead of gripping. The cotton has weight to it, the stretch shows itself the first time you sit down, and the leg runs clean to the ankle without pulling at the knee.

Then you catch the colour in daylight and realise the grey is not one grey. It pools darker in the folds and lifts across the thigh, moving as you move. Six months in, the dye has settled further into the fabric rather than fading off it, and they look more like yours than they did on day one.

The Art of Cold Dyeing

Cold dyeing uses low water temperatures and long immersion instead of heat, so the pigment penetrates slowly and unevenly rather than saturating the fibre uniformly. It takes far more time than conventional hot dyeing, and the result cannot be exactly repeated: each batch, each garment, lands in a slightly different place. It also uses less energy and treats the cotton more gently, so the fabric keeps its natural softness instead of being cooked stiff.

The Art of Corozo

Corozo, or vegetable ivory, is the dried nut of the tagua palm. It is cut and polished like stone, takes dye with natural grain variation, and is fully biodegradable, unlike the polyester buttons on most trousers at any price. It is heavier in the hand, warmer to the touch, and it is the detail that tells you what the rest of the garment is built like.

How to Wear It

  • Everyday: with a heavy black tee and boots, the grey lifting an all-black wardrobe.
  • Sharp daytime: with a fine knit tucked or half-tucked, leg line clean to the ankle.
  • Travel: the elasticated waist and stretch cotton stay comfortable for hours in a seat.
  • Evening: with a long black shirt or tunic worn open over the top, boots below.

Care Instructions

  • Hand wash cold, or machine wash cold on the gentlest cycle — cold-dyed cotton releases colour if warmed.
  • Wash inside out, separately or with similar darks, for the first several washes.
  • Do not bleach — it will strip the cold dye unevenly.
  • Do not tumble dry on high heat; heat degrades the elastane and shortens the stretch.
  • Line dry in shade; direct sun will lighten the grey.
  • Iron on low, inside out, if needed.
  • Protect the corozo button from prolonged soaking and harsh detergents.
