3R M1301 Cargo Trousers - Black Oversized Fluid Lyocell Italian Men's

Regular price €173.22 EUR

Cargo Without the Armour

Lyocell changes what a cargo trouser can be. Instead of stiff, heavy cloth holding a shape by force, this one falls: 100% lyocell, cool and fluid, cut oversized so the volume comes from drape rather than bulk. A wooden button, a concealed zip, drawstrings inside the legs. Utility detailing on a fabric that moves like water. LA HAINE INSIDE US, Italian avant-garde, Made In Italy.

Why These Cargo Trousers Are Different

  • 100% lyocell: a fluid, lightweight fibre that drapes where standard cotton cargo cloth stands rigid.
  • Oversized fit: real volume through the seat and leg, carried by the fabric's fall rather than by weight.
  • Wooden button: a natural, warm-toned closure instead of cold metal hardware.
  • Concealed zip: the front stays completely clean, no visible hardware anywhere on the silhouette.
  • Elasticated back hem: gives at the waistband so an oversized cut still sits properly on the body.
  • Internal leg drawstrings: cinch the leg for a tapered, gathered line or release it for a full straight fall.
  • Two silhouettes in one: gathered or released, the same trouser reads sharp or relaxed.
  • Breathable and cool: lyocell wicks moisture, which is why this works in Mediterranean heat where a canvas cargo would not.
  • Sustainable fibre: lyocell is made from wood pulp in a closed-loop process that recovers and reuses its solvent.
  • Made In Italy: cut and constructed in Italy.

The Moment You Put Them On

Lyocell is cool to the touch, properly cool, and that is the first thing you notice as the leg slides on. Then the weight, or the lack of it. There is volume everywhere but almost nothing pressing on you, the fabric hanging off the hip and moving half a beat behind your stride.

Pull the internal cords and the legs draw in, and suddenly the same trouser is tapered and deliberate over a boot. Release them and it falls back into a wide, quiet column. It is the rare cargo you can wear at thirty degrees in August and still reach for under a coat in November.

The Art of Lyocell

Lyocell starts as wood pulp, dissolved and spun into fibre in a closed-loop system where more than 99% of the non-toxic solvent is captured and reused, which puts it well ahead of conventional viscose on environmental cost. What matters on the body is the fibre structure: lyocell is smooth-surfaced and highly absorbent, so it wicks moisture away from the skin and feels cool rather than clammy. It also drapes far better than cotton of the same weight, which is exactly why an oversized cut in this fabric flows instead of ballooning.

The Art of Concealed Hardware

Hiding the zip and choosing a wooden button are not small decisions. A visible metal zip and a stamped snap turn a trouser into workwear; remove them and the eye reads only silhouette and fabric. The wood adds a warm, matte, organic note against the black, and because there is no hard metal at the front, nothing interrupts the drape where lyocell is at its best. Where a standard cargo announces its function through hardware, this one keeps the function and deletes the announcement.

How to Wear Them

  • Summer resort: hems released, with a loose linen shirt and sandals, letting the fabric breathe and flow.
  • Gathered evening: cords cinched over a boot with a fitted black knit, for a tapered, sharper line.
  • Travel: with a soft tee and trainers, lyocell shrugging off a long flight better than cotton and staying cool on arrival.
  • Transitional layering: under an oversized coat with heavy boots, the wide leg balancing the volume up top.

Care Instructions

  • Hand wash cold or machine wash on a delicate cycle: lyocell weakens when wet, so handle gently.
  • Do not wring or twist while damp.
  • Do not tumble dry: heat causes shrinkage and stiffens the drape.
  • Hang or lay flat to dry, away from direct sunlight.
  • Iron on low while slightly damp, or steam on the hanger to release creases.
  • Do not bleach, and wash inside out to keep the black deep.
